Pontoon boats are incredibly versatile.

There are many types of boats on the market… center consoles, skiffs, cabin cruisers, etc.  Many of them are suited for specific purposes, such as fishing, or perhaps overnight cruising. But for family and leisure day cruising, it's hard to beat a Pontoon boat.

Dollar for dollar, pontoon boats offer more ample space for relaxation, picnics, and even water sports. With their wide decks and an RV feel, you can more comfortably accommodate family and friends, and kids have more room to play and move around. The open floor plans also allow more room for the water toys and floats as well. The high railings on a pontoon boat provides an enhanced measure of safety for kids and the elderly. And many pontoon boats are available with wide gates, making them more accessible to family members with mobility issues.

Pontoon boats also offer a flatter and more stable ride given their pontoon design. With less leaning than a traditional v-hull, pontoon boats offer more comfort and stability for kids, seniors, and beginner captains. Their stable design makes them ideal for cruising on lakes and calm rivers. But there are also quite a few saltwater offerings that are built to stand up to modestly choppy ocean waters.

If you do your boating in an area with very shallow waters, pontoon boats are a perfect match for these areas. They have a very shallow draft, as little as 12 or 14 inches, and can easily negotiate the shallow water challenges. No need to switch to a skiff for inshore fishing. Pontoon boats let you get into waters other boats can't.

Pontoon boats can also cover the bases for fishing adventures. There are models available with fishing stations, rod holders, and live wells. Your family boat can be transformed into the perfect angling vessel.

As innovations continue, pontoon boats remain a top choice for unforgettable aquatic adventures. Whether it's a peaceful sunset outing or a party with friends, or some inshore flats fishing, pontoon boats cater perfectly to every occasion.
